This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
EUVDB-ID: #VU51733
Risk: Medium
CVSSv3.1: 6.7 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H/E:P/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2021-3449
CWE-ID:
CWE-476 - NULL Pointer Dereference
Exploit availability: Yes
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error when processing TLSv1.2 renegotiations. A remote attacker can send a maliciously crafted renegotiation ClientHello message, which omits the signature_algorithms extension but includes a signature_algorithms_cert extension, trigger a NULL pointer dereference error and crash the server. MitigationUpdate the affected package postgresql-10 to the latest version.
Vulnerable software versionsUbuntu: 18.04 - 21.04
postgresql-12 (Ubuntu package): before 12.8-0ubuntu0.20.04.1
postgresql-13 (Ubuntu package): before 13.4-0ubuntu0.21.04.1
postgresql-10 (Ubuntu package): before 10.18-0ubuntu0.18.04.1

EUVDB-ID: #VU59043
Risk: Low
CVSSv3.1: 4.7 [CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:L/E:U/RL:O/RC:C]
CVE-ID: CVE-2021-3677
CWE-ID:
CWE-401 - Missing release of memory after effective lifetime
Exploit availability: No
DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote user to perform DoS attack or gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due memory leak during parallel sort operations. A remote user can force the application to leak memory and perform denial of service attack or read arbitrary memory parts on the system.
Update the affected package postgresql-10 to the latest version.
