Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper initialization when logging error messages. A local user can trigger an error condition on the fetchmail side and gain access to sensitive information or perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Update the affected package fetchmail to the latest version.
