Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31609)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the Bluetooth Classic implementation does not properly handle the reception of an oversized LMP packet greater than 17 bytes. A remote attacker in radio range can send a specially crafted LMP packet and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31612)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the Bluetooth Classic implementation does not properly handle the reception of an oversized LMP packet greater than 17 bytes. A remote attacker in radio range can send a specially crafted LMP packet and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31613)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the Bluetooth Classic implementation does not properly handle the reception of a truncated LMP packet during LMP auto rate procedure. A remote attacker in radio range can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

4) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-31611)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to the Bluetooth Classic implementation does not properly handle the reception of an out-of-order LMP Setup procedure (c.f., Figure 1) followed by a malformed LMP packet. A remote attacker in radio range can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
