Description

The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the net/sunrpc/xdr.c in the Linux kernel. A remote user can perform multiple NFS 4.2 READ_PLUS operations and cause a denial of service attack.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
