Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Use-after-free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21796)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a use-after-free error in the JavaScript implementation within the "local_file_path" object. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted document and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
2) Double Free (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21797)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the JavaScript implementation. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted document, trigger double free error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
