Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 vulnerabilities.

1) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-44228)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing LDAP requests. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

Note, we are aware of attackers exploiting the vulnerability in the wild.

2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: N/A)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the custom GeoJSON map feature when processing specially encoded URLs. A remote user can supply a specially encoded URL to disclose sensitive information.

The issue is only exploitable through administrator access to the custom maps setting.

3) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24854)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to disclose sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access control in SQLite ATTACH DATABASE handling when executing user-supplied SQL queries against a SQLite database. A remote user can attach a second SQLite database by file path and query its tables to disclose sensitive information.

Exploitation requires SQL permissions to at least one SQLite database and knowledge of the file path to the second database.

4) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24855)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to cross-site scripting in /_internal endpoint when handling requests to the internal development endpoint. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted link to perform cross-site scripting attacks.

This could be leveraged for phishing attempts that may lead to account takeover.
