Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-34429)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing certain characters in URI. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request with encoded characters in URI, bypass implemented security restrictions and access content of the WEB-INF directory.
2) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-3426)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Binding Support Function (Python) component in Oracle Communications Cloud Native Core Binding Support Function. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to gain access to sensitive information.
3) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-23337)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary commands on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when processing templates. A remote privileged user can inject and execute arbitrary commands on the system.
4) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-37137)
The vulnerability allows a remote non-authenticated attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Content Acquisition System (Netty) component in Oracle Commerce Guided Search. A remote non-authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
5) Resource management error (CVE-ID: CVE-2020-17527)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to improper management of internal resources within the application when processing HTTP/2 requests in Apache Tomcat. The web server can re-use an HTTP request header value from the previous stream received on an
HTTP/2 connection for the request associated with the subsequent stream. As a result a remote attacker can obtain sensitive information from another HTTP request.
6) Permissions, Privileges, and Access Controls (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-22118)
The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly impose security restrictions in the WebFlux application, which leads to security restrictions bypass and privilege escalation.
7) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-39139)
The vulnerability allows a remote authenticated user to execute arbitrary code.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Tools (XStream) component in Oracle Utilities Testing Accelerator. A remote authenticated user can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code.
