SB2022020853 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft HEVC Video Extensions

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Code Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-21927)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in HEVC Video Extensions. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
