Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Integer underflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24046)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer underflow within the anacapd daemon. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the affected application, trigger integer underflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24049)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the ALAC audio codec. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
