Description
This security bulletin contains information about 10 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21945)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the TIFF parser functionality - planar format. Second 12 bits. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21944)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the TIFF parser functionality - planar format. First 12 bits. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21914)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the DecoderStream::Append functionality. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
4) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21939)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the XWD parser functionality. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
5) Off-by-one (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21938)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to an off-by-one error in the Palette box parser functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted file, trigger an off-by-one error and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
6) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21943)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the XWD parser functionality. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
7) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21946)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the JPEG-JFIF lossless Huffman image parser functionality within precision lower than 9. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
8) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21947)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the JPEG-JFIF lossless Huffman image parser functionality within precision greater or equal than 9. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
9) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21942)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input in the TIFF YCbCr image parser functionality. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted file, trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
10) Out-of-bounds write (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-21949)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input in the JPEG-JFIF Scan header parser functionality. A remote attacker can trigger out-of-bounds write and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
