Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-38989)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the AIX kernel. A local user can run a specially crafted program to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-38988)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input within the AIX kernel. A local user can run a specially crafted program to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-22351)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the nimsh daemon. A remote attacker can send specially crafted input to another trusted host and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
