1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in item NBT deserialization for inventory transactions when processing serialized network item data. A remote attacker can send specially crafted inventory transaction data containing bogus NBT to cause a denial of service.
The issue can be triggered during inventory interactions when the server deserializes client-supplied item stack data and compares it with its own copy.
