DescriptionThe vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation when parsing PostScript code. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary code on the system running GhostScript versions older than 9.50.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
MitigationInstall updates from vendor's website.
As a workaround it is recommended to update GhostScript to version 9.50 or newer.
