Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-20827)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the web filter database update feature. A remote unauthenticated attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary commands on the target system with root privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-20841)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the Open Plug and Play (PnP) module. A remote unauthenticated attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary commands on the target system with root privileges.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-20842)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the web-based management interface. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
