Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-36381)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote administrator on the local network can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-36293)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote administrator on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
