Description
This security bulletin contains information about 5 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-40720)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the Dreambox plugin for the xupnpd service. A remote attacker on the local network can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-40717)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the anweb service. A remote unauthenticated attacker on the local network can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
