The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to an entity in Network Configuration Manager (NCM) is misconfigured and exposes password field to Solarwinds Information Service (SWIS). A remote administrator can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.
