SB2022111825 - Multiple vulnerabilities in wpForo Forum plugin for WordPress

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Arbitrary file upload (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-40200)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise vulnerable system.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of file during file upload. A remote attacker can upload a malicious file and execute it on the server.

2) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-40192)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
