1) Improper input validation (CVE-ID: N/A)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in Banner->deserializeCompoundTag() when deserializing item NBT. A remote attacker can provide crafted NBT with invalid pattern colour values in an inventory transaction to cause a denial of service.
The issue can be triggered when processing item NBT from the network or disk.
