Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-40983)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in the QML QtScript Reflect API. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger integer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-43591)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in the QML QtScript Reflect API. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
