Description

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure usage of the os.system() call within "/usr/lib/zypp/plugins/appdata/InstallAppdata". A local user can inject and execute arbitrary OS commands on the system.

Mitigation

Update the affected package libzypp-plugin-appdata to the latest version.
