The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a brute-force attack.

The vulnerability exists due to missing protection against brute-force attacks in the Password Sync Agent. A remote attacker can perform a brute-force attack and gain unauthorized access to the application.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input  within the DomainUserSSPLogonAuth method in the ADSelfService Plus Mobile App Authentication API. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
