The vulnerability allows a remote user to escalate privileges.
The vulnerability exists due to improper privilege management within the Nomad Job Submitter where a workload identity without any workload-associated policies was treated as a management token. A remote user can escalate privileges within the application.
2) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-1296)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions.
The vulnerability exists due to an error in the workload-associated policy with a deny capability, which was ignored for the workload's own variables. A remote attacker can bypass implemented ACLs and gain unauthorized access to the application.
