This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20873)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to security features bypass. A remote attacker can cause security bypass on the target system.


2) Security features bypass (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20862)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to the logout support does not properly clean the security context if using serialized versions. A remote attacker can save an empty security context to the HttpSessionSecurityContextRepository and keep users authenticated even after they performed logout.


3) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20863)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote user can use a specially crafted SpEL expression and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
