SB2023042401 - Multiple vulnerabilities in PaperCut MF/NG

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27350)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions within the SetupCompleted class. A remote non-authenticated attacker can bypass authentication process and execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.

2) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-27351)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.

The vulnerability exists due to an error within the SecurityRequestFilter class. A remote attacker can bypass authentication process and gain unauthorized access to the application.
