Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-41039)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can send specially crafted CONNECT packets containing lots of "user properties" and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-34432)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote user can send a PUBLISH packet with topic length = 0 and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
3) Memory leak (CVE-ID: CVE-2021-34431)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform DoS attack on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due memory leak in the broker. A remote authenticated attacker can send a specially crafted CONNECT message and perform denial of service attack.
