Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform MitM attack.

The vulnerability exists due to Vault HSM integration configurations do not properly applying an HMAC to messages sent from the HSM when using a CBC-based encryption mechanism. A remote attacker can perform a padding oracle attack.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
