Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20163)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in the web-based management interface. A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20164)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation in specific CLI commands. A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20174)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input. A remote administrator can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and send arbitrary network requests that are sourced from the affected system.
4) XML External Entity injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20173)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied XML input in the web-based management interface. A remote administrator can pass a specially crafted XML code to the affected application and view contents of arbitrary files on the system or initiate requests to external systems.
Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to view contents of arbitrary file on the server or perform network scanning of internal and external infrastructure.
5) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20167)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote administrator can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
6) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20166)
The vulnerability allows a local user to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences in the CLI. A local administrator can send a specially crafted HTTP request, escape the restricted shell and gain root privileges.
7) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-20087)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation in the web-based management interface. A remote administrator can send a specially crafted HTTP request and download arbitrary files from the underlying filesystem.
