Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) PHP file inclusion (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-2435)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to include and execute arbitrary PHP files on the server.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect input validation when including PHP files. A remote administrator can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the affected application, include and execute arbitrary PHP code on the system with privileges of the web server.
2) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-2436)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the "blog_in_blog" shortcode. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
