Description

This security bulletin contains information about 4 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Authorization bypass through user-controlled key (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33956)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.

The vulnerability exists due to the IDOR issue in the URL parameter. A remote user can read files uploaded by any user.


2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33968)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote user can create or transfer tasks to any project within the software.


3) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33969)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in the Task External Link functionality. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.


4) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-33970)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in internal task links feature. A remote user can leak all the tasks and projects titles within the software.
