Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23481)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. The vulnerability allows users to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
2) Spoofing attack (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-23482)
The vulnerability allows a remote user to hijack the clicking actions.
The vulnerability exists due to incorrect processing of user-supplied data. A remote user can trick the victim into visiting a malicious Web site, exploit this vulnerability to hijack click actions and possibly launch further attacks.
