Description

This security bulletin contains information about 8 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-31239)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted VPR file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32538)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted SIM2 file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32273)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted SIM2 file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

4) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32201)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted SIM2 file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

5) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32288)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted SIM file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.

6) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32276)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted V8 file, trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

7) Access of Memory Location After End of Buffer (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32270)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error when processing untrusted input. A remote attacker can trick a victim to open a specially crafted V8 file, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

8) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-32542)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition. A remote attacker can create a specially crafted V8 file, trick the victim into opening it, trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system, leading to arbitrary code execution.
