Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-2990)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when processing recursive Deflate Stream. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
2) Out-of-bounds read (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-2989)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in the administration server. A remote attacker can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and crash the service or bypass authentication.
