Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Incorrect permission assignment for critical resource (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-39062)

The vulnerability allows a local user to compromise the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improperly set permissions for product folders. A local user can replace DLLs and gain elevated privileges on the system.


2) Execution with unnecessary privileges (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-38641)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to database service is executed as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. A local user can run the affected binary and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
