Description

This security bulletin contains information about 10 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40325)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote user can bypass Quiz sequential navigation.


2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40324)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions in сompetency framework tools. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to the application.


3) Open redirect (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40323)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to redirect victims to arbitrary URL.

The vulnerability exists due to improper sanitization of user-supplied data on admin view all policies page. A remote attacker can create a link that leads to a trusted website, however, when clicked, redirects the victim to arbitrary domain.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to perform a phishing attack and steal potentially sensitive information.


4) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40322)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote user can access other users' message processor preferences data.


5) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40321)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and view course participant data.


6) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40320)

The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote user to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data passed via OAuth 2 login. A remote user can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.


7) SQL injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40319)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary SQL queries in database.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data in grader report feature. A remote user can send a specially crafted request to the affected application and execute arbitrary SQL commands within the application database.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to read, delete, modify data in database and gain complete control over the affected application.


8) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40318)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.

The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions on Dashboard. A remote user can bypass implemented security restrictions and gain unauthorized access to the application.


9) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40317)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.

The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input when parsing file repository reference properties. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code on the system.


10) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40316)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect domain matching logic. A remote attacker can bypass implemented security restrictions.
