Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Inefficient regular expression complexity (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-25901)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation when processing untrusted input with a regular expressions within the Cookie.parse function. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform regular expression denial of service (ReDos) attack.
2) Improperly Controlled Modification of Object Prototype Attributes ('Prototype Pollution') (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-0842)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to application does not properly validate incoming JSON keys, thus allowing the __proto__ property to be edited. A remote unauthenticated attacker can edit or add new properties to an object to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
3) Prototype pollution (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-24999)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
4) Prototype pollution (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-37601)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform prototype pollution attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data within the parseQuery() function in parseQuery.js. A remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary JavaScript code.
5) Incorrect Regular Expression (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-37603)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient input validation when processing URL within the interpolateName() function in interpolateName.js. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application and perform regular expression denial of service (ReDos) attack.
6) Input validation error (CVE-ID: CVE-2022-38900)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
7) Cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-2142)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can trick the victim to follow a specially crafted link and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
