Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-38584)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in cgi-bin command_wb.cgi. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-40145)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote user can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
3) Stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-43492)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in cgi-bin codesys.cgi. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger stack-based buffer overflow and execute arbitrary code on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
