SB2023102612 - Multiple vulnerabilities in Jenkins CloudBees CD plugin

Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) UNIX symbolic link following (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-46654)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to delete arbitrary files.

The vulnerability exists due to a symlink following issue during this cleanup process. A remote user can delete arbitrary files on the Jenkins controller file system.

2) UNIX symbolic link following (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-46655)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to a symlink following issue when collecting the list of files to publish. A remote user can publish arbitrary files from the Jenkins controller file system to the previously configured CloudBees CD server.
