Description

This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-48702)

The vulnerability allows a remote user to execute arbitrary commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within custom FFmpeg binary in the /System/MediaEncoder/Path endpoint. A remote administrator can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary commands on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


2) Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-49096)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to an argument injection issue within the FFmpeg codec parameters in the VideosController. A remote attacker can execute arbitrary code on the system.
