Description

This security bulletin contains information about 12 secuirty vulnerabilities.

1) Deserialization of Untrusted Data (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51576)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to insecure input validation when processing serialized data within the RMI interface on port 51099/TCP. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.

2) Incorrect default permissions (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51579)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to incorrect default permissions for files and folders that are set by the product installer. A local user with access to the system can view contents of files and directories or modify them.

3) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51574)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication.

The vulnerability exist due to an error within the updateManagerPassword method. A remote attacker can set a new password for the manager account and gain unauthorized access to the application.

4) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51575)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of a dangerous function within the MonitorConsole class. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary code on the system.

5) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51577)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of a dangerous function within the setShutdown class. A local user can execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges.

6) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51581)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of a dangerous function within the MacMonitorConsole class. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary code on the system.

7) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51582)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of a dangerous function within the LinuxMonitorConsole class. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary code on the system.

8) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51583)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of a dangerous function within the UpsScheduler class. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary code on the system.

9) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51584)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to compromise the affected system.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of a dangerous function within the USBCommEx shutdown method. A remote attacker can trick the administrator to trigger a shutdown operation and execute arbitrary code on the system.

10) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51585)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation within the USBCommEx shutdown method. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trick ab authenticated administrator to trigger a shutdown operation and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.

11) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51587)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.

The vulnerability exists due to excessive data output by the application within the getModbusPassword method. A remote attacker can gain unauthorized access to sensitive information on the system.

12) Exposed dangerous method or function (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51578)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to usage of a dangerous method within the MonitorConsole class. A remote attacker can send a specially crafted HTTP request to the application and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
