Description

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the dumpppp() function in pppdump. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the daemon and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

Mitigation

Update the affected package ppp to the latest version.
