Description
This security bulletin contains information about 2 vulnerabilities.
1) Information disclosure (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23770)
The vulnerability allows a local user to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to application accepts credentials via the --auth argument. A local user can list processes on the system and obtain credentials in clear text.
2) Improper authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23771)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to an error in the authentication process. A remote attacker can bypass authentication process via a timing side channel.
