Description
This security bulletin contains information about 7 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) Improper Authentication (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23783)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to bypass authentication process.
The vulnerability exists due to an error in when processing authentication requests. A remote attacker on the local network can bypass authentication process and gain unauthorized access to the application.
2) Improper access control (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23784)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to otherwise restricted functionality.
The vulnerability exists due to improper access restrictions. A remote attacker on the local network can obtain a user name and its hashed password which are displayed on the management page of the affected product.
3) Cross-site request forgery (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23785)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site request forgery attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of the HTTP request origin. A remote attacker can trick the victim to visit a specially crafted web page and perform arbitrary actions on behalf of the victim on the vulnerable website.
4) Stored cross-site scripting (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23786)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary HTML and script code in user's browser in context of vulnerable website.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to steal potentially sensitive information, change appearance of the web page, perform phishing and drive-by-download attacks.
5) Path traversal (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23787)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform directory traversal attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to input validation error when processing directory traversal sequences. A remote attacker on the local network can send a specially crafted HTTP request and read arbitrary files on the system.
6) Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23788)
The disclosed vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform SSRF attacks.
The vulnerability exists due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input. A remote attacker on the local network can send a specially crafted HTTP request and trick the application to initiate requests to arbitrary systems.
7) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-23789)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote attacker on the local network can pass specially crafted data to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
