This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Double Free (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-4256)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the tcpedit_dlt_cleanup() function in plugins/dlt_plugins.c. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a double free error and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) NULL pointer dereference (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-43279)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a NULL pointer dereference error within the mask_cidr6 component in cidr.c. A remote attacker can trigger denial of service conditions via crafted tcprewrite command.
