Description
This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.
1) OS Command Injection (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-22246)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
The vulnerability exists due to improper input validation. A remote unauthenticated attacker with access to the Edge Router UI during activation can send specially crafted request to the application and execute arbitrary OS commands on the target system.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.
2) Missing Authorization (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-22247)
The vulnerability allows an attacker to compromise the affected system.
The vulnerability exists due to missing authorization in the SD-WAN Edge appliance during activation. An attacker with physical access to device can access BIOS configuration and compromise the system.
3) Open redirect (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-22248)
The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to redirect victims to arbitrary URL.
The vulnerability exists due to improper sanitization of user-supplied data. A remote attacker can create a link that leads to a trusted website, however, when clicked, redirects the victim to arbitrary domain.
Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to perform a phishing attack and steal potentially sensitive information.
