The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to gain access to potentially sensitive information.
The vulnerability exists due to a boundary condition in Windows Distributed File System (DFS). A remote user can trigger an out-of-bounds read error and read contents of memory on the system.
2) Time-of-check Time-of-use (TOCTOU) Race Condition (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-29066)
