Description

The vulnerability allows a local authenticated user to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to improper check for unusual or exceptional conditions error in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE). A local authenticated user can cause a Denial-of-Service (Dos).

If a specific CLI command is issued, a PFE crash will occur.

This will cause traffic forwarding to be interrupted until the system self-recovers.

Mitigation

Install updates from vendor's website.
