Description

This security bulletin contains information about 3 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-47471)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the slice_segment_header() function in the slice.cc. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application, trigger memory corruption and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.


2) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-43887)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error within the pic_parameter_set::dump() function. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger memory corruption and execute arbitrary code on the target system.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in complete compromise of vulnerable system.


3) Buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2023-51792)

The vulnerability allows a remote attacker to perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error. A remote attacker can pass specially crafted input to the application, trigger memory corruption and perform a denial of service (DoS) attack.
