The vulnerability allows a local user to escalate privileges on the system.
The vulnerability exists due to a race condition within the dw_hdma_v0_core_write_chunk() and dw_hdma_v0_core_start() functions in drivers/dma/dw-edma/dw-hdma-v0-core.c. A local user can escalate privileges on the system.
