This security bulletin contains information about 2 secuirty vulnerabilities.


1) Heap-based buffer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30066)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalte privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to a boundary error in Winlogon. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger a heap-based buffer overflow and gain elevated privileges on the target system.


2) Integer overflow (CVE-ID: CVE-2024-30067)

The vulnerability allows a local user to escalte privileges on the system.

The vulnerability exists due to integer overflow in Winlogon. A local user can pass specially crafted data to the application, trigger integer overflow and gain elevated privileges on the target system.
